The Art Center!
We are an art studio dedicated to providing comprehensive, skilled, and joyful instruction to kids and teens. We've been serving Upper East Side families for over fifteen years and are proud to be a part of the community.
Our small team is made up of professional artists who are passionate about art education. We are happy to help with everything from the occasional fun art day, to consistent formal instruction, to portfolio preparation.
Our Approach
In our classes we strike the perfect balance of teaching skills and fostering a love of creating. We prioritize one-on-one instruction so we can meet each student where they are, focusing on their unique needs and interests. This individualized approach allows us to adapt to students as they grow, and has given us the priviledge of teaching countless kids from preschool through high school!

Paul
Owner
Paul has been teaching at The Art Center for over 15 years. He has a BFA in Illustration from SVA and has an 8 year old son.
Melissa
Owner
Melissa has been managing The Art Center for 11 years. She has a BFA in Sculpture from Tyler School of Art and has two young daughters.
Ava
Teacher
Ava has worked at The Art Center for three years and teaches all of our kids programs. She has a MFA from the New York Academy of Art and is DOE certified.
Audrey
Teacher
Audrey has worked at The Art Center for over six years and teaches our adult classes as well as some kids programs. She has a MFA from the New York Academy of Art and is also a professor at FIT.
