Summer Studio
During Summer Studio, students receive one-on-one instruction while creating sculpture, drawing, and painting projects. The majority of the day is spent making art, however we also take recess breaks in our back yard! Full day, morning, and afternoon sessions are available by the week.

FAQs
Our summer programs run by the week. However, based on availability, we may be able to accommodate requests for single full day or partial week enrollment. Please email us with your request!
Our morning and full day students arrive at 9am and start off the day with free sketching. Each morning we have one or two structured projects, a mid-morning snack break, and recess in our backyard from 11:30am-12pm. At noon our morning students leave, afternoon students arrive, and full day students eat lunch. Each afternoon we have one structured project, one or more free projects, a mid-afternoon snack break, and recess from 2:30-3pm. Our afternoon and full day students dismiss at 3pm.
We offer a wide variety of materials to our students, including plaster sculptures, acrylic and watercolor paints, colored and graphite pencils, illustration markers, charcoals, pastels, modeling clay, and some craft materials. Some of our projects are structured, where students are instructed to work with a specific material or subject, and others projects are free, where students can choose what to create. However, we always allow encourage students to incorporate their own interests and creativity into each project so that no two are the same!
Absolutely! Our teachers are very familiar with the various requirements and the summer is a great time for students to focus on art, receive one-on-one instruction, and get a jumpstart on the work before the school year begins.
We have plenty of students that register for multiple weeks! All of our projects, even structured projects, allow for individuality and student choice. So we will repeat general themes, like landscape paintings or animal drawings, but students will create something new each and every time!
We will supply all art materials, but you will need to pack any food and water for the day. We recommend that all students pack a nut-free snack each day, and full day students need to pack a nut-free lunch. We also recommend dressing your child in clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
We put a lot of thought into organizing our program so that it is enjoyable and beneficial for everyone attending! With that in mind, we do require that at the time of attendance full day students are between the ages of 6-12, morning students are between the ages of 4-12, and afternoon students are between the ages of 6-15.
